The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Pacing For 6th Week As Pop Radio’s #1 Song

The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” will spend a sixth consecutive week atop the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The smash hit received 13,670 spins during the first five days of the October 23-29 tracking week. While that trails the same-time-last-week count by 0.1%, the tally comfortably positions “Closer” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

“Closer” does not face an imminent threat from below — and will thus have no difficulty retaining #1 its position through the close of tracking.

In securing a sixth week at #1, “Closer” will achieve 2016’s longest streak at #1. It will tie Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” for the most total weeks at #1 in 2016.
