“A-Yo” Confirmed As Lady Gaga’s New Radio Single

What was widely assumed has now been confirmed: “A-Yo” will be Lady Gaga’s next official radio single.

Interscope formalized the news Tuesday night, revealing that it will soon promote the song at pop radio. While not yet explicitly confirmed by Interscope’s radio team, the song will also be pushed at the hot adult contemporary format.

“A-Yo” will serve as the second single from Lady Gaga’s “Joanne.” It is the follow-up to lead effort “Perfect Illusion,” which garnered a tepid reaction — and quickly peaked — at pop and Hot AC.

Gaga performed “A-Yo” on this past weekend’s edition of “Saturday Night Live.” In drawing what NBC reports as 8.65 million live+same-day viewers, the episode was the most watched October “SNL” broadcast in eight years.
