Like last Saturday’s edition, this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” endured a week-to-week decline but still managed a multi-year high in the overnight ratings.
Citing metered market data, NBC says Saturday’s “SNL” drew a 5.0 overnight household rating. It posted a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating in the twenty five markets with local people meters.
This week’s edition featured host Emily Blunt and musical guest Bruno Mars. Last week’s episode, which featured Lin-Manuel Miranda and twenty one pilots in the respective roles, drew a 5.2 overnight household rating and a 2.4 LPM adults 18-49 rating.
This week’s overnight household rating was, however, an eight-year high for a week three “SNL” episode. The last week three episode to fare better in the overnight household was the September 27, 2008 edition, which drew a 6.0.
Among adults 18-49, Saturday’s episode drew the best week three figure since the October 12, 2013 episode. That broadcast also drew a 2.3.
The last time a week three episode drew a better adults 18-49 rating was on October 8, 2011 (2.6).
