The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Returns To #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart; Maroon 5 & Kendrick Now #2

A day-and-a-half after ceding the throne, The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” reclaims #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.

“Closer” is back ahead of Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know (featuring Kendrick Lamar),” which ruled the listing from Friday morning until Saturday night.

As of 11:05PM ET, the Maroon 5 single is #2 on the chart.

“Closer,” which debuted on July 29, has spent the majority of its run atop the US iTunes single sales chart. Only a handful of other songs have reached #1 in the past few months, and none ruled for a meaningful amount of time.

The Weeknd’s “Starboy (featuring Daft Punk)” (#3), twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” (#4), and Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” (#5) presently complete the Top 5.
