Ratings: FOX’s “Empire,” “Lethal Weapon” Rise This Week

Update: As expected, “Empire” received an upward demo adjustment in the final ratings report. It thus ends up ahead of last week’s episode in both adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 3.5 adults 18-49 rating and 9.27 million total viewers. Last week’s episode drew a 3.4 rating and 9.25 million total viewers.

Lead-in “Lethal Weapon” also posted gains. This week’s drew a 1.9 and 6.84 million total viewers; last week’s posted a 1.7 and 6.62 million.

After enduring two straight declines following its season premiere, FOX’s “Empire” held steady this week.

Per fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s episode drew a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating and 9.30 million total viewers. The demo rating matches that posted by last week’s broadcast, while the viewership tally represents a slight improvement (9.25 million).

Since “Empire” often receives an upward adjustment in the final ratings report, this week’s episode may show gains in both columns when all is said and done.

Lead-in “Lethal Weapon” was also up week-to-week. This week’s broadcast drew a 1.9 rating and 6.70 million viewers, besting the 1.7 and 6.62 million drawn last week.
