“Hamilton” Cast Recording Album Officially Reaches Double Platinum In US

“Hamilton” creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda appeared on this past Saturday’s “SNL.”

Two days earlier, his show’s official album ascended to multi-platinum status in the United States.

According to the RIAA, “Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording)” went double platinum on October 6, 2016. The double platinum certification confirms 2 million in US units.

Each unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
