Green Day’s “Revolution Radio” Claims #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart; OneRepublic, Alter Bridge, Norah Jones Follow

Green Day [Frank Maddocks | WBR Press]

Green Day’s “Revolution Radio” arrived on the US iTunes store late Thursday night.

It quickly — and predictably — soared to #1 on the all-genre album sales chart.

It remains in the #1 position as of 2:50AM ET.

“Revolution Radio” is one of four new releases presently in the Top 5. It is one of eight newcomers in the Top 10.

OneRepublic’s new “Oh My My” is currently #2 on the chart, while Alter Bridge’s debuting “The Last Hero” is #3. Norah Jones’ new “Day Breaks” is #4.

Currently #5, Solange’s “A Seat At the Table” is the only holdover currently positioned in the Top 5.

The balance of the Top 10 includes Phantogram’s new “Three” (#6), Colbie Caillat’s new “The Malibu Sessions” (#7), holdover NOW 59 (#8), Dance Gavin Dance’s new “Mothership” (#9), and Sum 41’s new “13 Voices” (#10).

Specific sales projections should emerge this weekend.
