The follow-ups to two recent country radio number ones are beginning to take flight.

“How Not To,” the follow-up to Dan + Shay’s chart-topping “From The Ground Up,” ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s #63 song this week. It was #76 last week.

Kelsea Ballerini’s “Yeah Boy,” which is the follow-up to her #1 hit “Peter Pan,” rises six places to #69.

“How Not To” and “Yeah Boy” respectively received 297 and 213 spins during the September 25-October 1 tracking period. It is worth noting, however, that Mediabase rankings are based on a scoring system (spins are given point values based on the size of the market in which they were received) rather than raw airplay.

“How Not To” represents Dan + Shay’s chance at a third straight #1. In addition to topping the chart with “From The Ground Up,” the duo reached #1 with previous single “Nothin’ Like You.”

Ballerini is aiming for a fourth consecutive #1. Prior to “Peter Pan,” she reached #1 with “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs.”
