While The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” cedes its throne in the United Kingdom, it remains the #1 song in Australia.

The song tops the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles chart for an eighth consecutive week. The reign ties that attained by Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” as the longest of 2016.

Calum Scott’s “Dancing On My Own” holds at #2, while James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” enjoys a twenty-two place jump to #3. Ariana Grande’s “Side To Side (featuring Nicki Minaj)” dips one place to #4, while Sia’s “The Greatest (featuring Kendrick Lamar)” falls a spot to #5.

The Weeknd scores the week’s highest ranking debut with “Starboy (featuring Daft Punk).” The new single earns #9 on this week’s chart.

Other notables within the Top 50:
— Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy” rises thirteen places to #22.
— Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault” climbs three places to #24.
— Artists Of Then, Now & Forever’s “Forever Country” advances seventeen places to #26.
