Niall Horan’s “This Town” garnered an impressive quantity of US pop radio airplay on its first day of release.

According to Mediabase, the One Direction member’s debut solo single attained 841 spins Thursday. The count positions “This Town” at #37 on the building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay received during the first five days of the September 25-October 1 tracking week.

Bottlenecked by the fact that it did not arrive until mid-day, “This Town” benefited from “on the hour” airplay across numerous pop stations.
