Shawn Mendes’ “Illuminate” arrived on the US iTunes store late Thursday night.

It quickly — and predictably — shot to #1 on the store’s album sales chart.

There it remains as of 2:05AM ET.

The #2, #3, and #4 songs are also new releases. Luke Bryan’s “Farm Tour…Here’s To The Farmer” EP is currently #2, while Idina Menzel’s “idina.” is #3. Crowder’s “American Prodigal” follows at #4.

Aaron Lewis’ “Sinner,” the highest charting hold over album, is currently #5 on the listing.

My Chemical Romance’s “The Black Parade/Living With Ghosts (10th Anniversary Edition)” is #6 on iTunes, while Every Time I Die’s “Low Teens” is #7.

Reckless Kelly’s #8 “Sunset Motel,” Dwight Yoakam’s #9 “Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars…,” and Ty Dolla $ign’s #10 “Campaign” form the balance of the Top 10.

Specific sales projections for the week’s key releases should emerge this weekend.
