Many will recognize it as the fourth and final season of “Liv And Maddie.” Others are positioning it as the lone season of a follow-up series.

Either way, “Liv And Maddie: Cali Style” premieres at 8PM ET on September 23. The episode is called “Sorta Sisters-A-Rooney.”

In advance of the broadcast, Disney Channel shared plot details and photos. The network provided the same for the September 30 episode, which is called “Linda And Heather-A-Rooney.”

The synopses and photos follow:

“Liv, Maddie and the rest of the Rooney family are excited to start their new life in California,” says Disney Channel of Sorta Sisters-A-Rooney. “As the school year begins, the Rooney’s cousin, Ruby, returns home from a summer trip. Excited to have “sort of” siblings, Ruby can’t wait to finally be a sister but finds herself in the middle of a sister-fight between Liv and Maddie. Meanwhile, Joey and Parker attend their new science and technology school and their experience is not what they expected.”

“Liv lands a small part on the hit show ‘Linda and Heather,’ but her role turns out to be bigger than she could have ever imagined,” teases Disney Channel regarding Linda And Heather-A-Rooney. “Meanwhile, Joey has to deal with his relationship woes.”
