Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” Reaches #17 At Hot AC Radio; Florida Georgia Line, Gavin DeGraw Also Join Top 20

Already a Top 10 hit at pop radio and a Top 15 hit at rhythmic radio, Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” joins the Top 20 on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart.

Spun ~1,524 times during the August 14-20 tracking period, “Cold Water” jumps five places to a new peak of #17. This week’s spin count bests last week’s by 522, which represents the Hot AC format’s greatest weekly airplay gain.

“Cold Water” is one of three additions to the Top 20.

Up two places, Florida Georgia Line’s crossover country smash “H.O.L.Y.” earns #19 on this week’s Hot AC chart. It posted a weekly spin count of ~1,235 (+88).

Gavin DeGraw’s “She Sets The City On Fire” directly follows at #20. The song, which was #24 last week, received ~1,198 spins this week (+280).
