Update: G-Eazy, who appears on Britney Spears’ single “Make Me,” will also be featured during her 2016 MTV Video Music Awards performance.

MTV confirmed the news Tuesday afternoon.

Spears and G-Eazy join previously confirmed performer (and Vanguard Award winner) Rihanna on the 2016 MTV VMAs bill. Additional names will be announced soon.

Given that her album “Glory” arrives two days before the ceremony, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that Britney Spears would be performing at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Tuesday, she made the news official.

The pop icon Tweeted a one-minute video teaser, which ends with confirmation that she will be performing live on the broadcast.

Spears follows Rihanna as the show’s second officially confirmed performer.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony emanates from Madison Square Garden on August 28.
