Green Day’s “Bang Bang” Debuts In Top 20 At Alternative Radio, Top 25 At Active Rock Radio

Powered by hourly first day spins from iHeartMedia stations and the enthusiasm one would expect for a new single from the band, Green Day’s “Bang Bang” rockets onto the official alternative and active rock airplay charts.

The new single debuts at #17 on this week’s Mediabase alternative chart and #22 on the corresponding active rock listing.

“Bang Bang” debuted on the fifth day of the August 7-13 tracking period. By the close of tracking on August 13, it had attained approximately 969 alternative spins and ~553 active rock spins.

“Bang Bang” is the only addition to the Top 20 at alternative radio. It is one of two new Top 25 additions at active rock. Sixx:AM’s “Prayers For The Damned,” the other, rises from #27 to #25 on the strength of its ~373 weekly plays (+45).
