The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Reaches #1 On Weekly US Spotify

The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” claims #1 on this week’s US Spotify chart.

The developing smash seizes the throne from Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ),” which slips to #2 after a week on top.

Up two places from last week’s debut position, “Closer” received 9.813 million weekly Spotify streams in the US. “Cold Water” garnered 9.203 million.

Down one place, Drake’s former multi-week #1 “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla)” takes #3 on the strength of its 8.408 million streams. twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” rises two places to #4 with 7.776 million, while Drake’s “Too Good (featuring Rihanna)” falls a place to #5 with 7.131 million.
