Kaleo’s “Way Down We Go” was only thirteen spins shy of #1 on last week’s Mediabase alternative airplay chart.
It will easily claim the top spot this week.
The Icelandic band’s debut alternative single received 2,165 spins during the first five days of the August 7-13 tracking week. Up 3.8% from the count at the same point last week, the tally positions “Way Down We Go” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.
There is no imminent threat to its position, which means it will have no trouble retaining #1 through the close of tracking.
