Chevelle’s “Joyride,” which ascended to #1 on the Mediabase active rock radio chart last week, retains the throne this week.

“Joyride” stays #1 on the strength of its ~1,946 weekly spins. The count trails last week’s mark by 12 but keeps “Joyride” comfortably ahead of the pack.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dark Necessities,” again the #2 song, received ~1,742 spins during the July 31-August 6 tracking period.

Shinedown’s “Asking For It” holds at #3 with ~1,721 spins (-107), while a spin count of ~1,496 keeps Volbeat’s “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown” at #4.

Pop Evil’s “Take It All,” which received ~1,390 weekly plays (+30), is again the #5 song.
