Major Lazer, Justin Bieber & MØ’s “Cold Water” Debuts At #2 On Billboard Hot 100

Following its first full week of availability, Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” predictably makes a big splash on the Billboard Hot 100.

The new single starts at #2 on the all-encompassing chart, which ranks songs based on combined activity from sales, streaming, and radio airplay. Only Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” ranks higher on the listing.

“Cold Water” was the week’s best-selling single; it also fared very well from a sales standpoint. And while it may not rank near the top of the Radio Songs subchart, its airplay level was very impressive for a new release.

In debuting at #2, “Cold Water” instantly becomes the highest charting Hot 100 entry for Major Lazer and MØ.
