Ratings: “Power” Season 3 Premiere Ranks As Sunday’s #1 Cable Original

Power [Starz]

The ample buzz resulted in a dramatic year-to-year ratings gain for Sunday’s third season “Power” premiere.

The episode, in fact, ranked as cable’s #1 Sunday original in the adults 18-49 demographic.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, the season three premiere drew an impressive 1.10 adults 18-49 rating and 2.26 million total viewers. The numbers markedly top the 0.61 rating and 1.43 million viewership sum posted by the second season premiere.

The 1.1 was the best posted by a Sunday cable original, and it trailed the ratings of only four Sunday night broadcast network programs (ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud,” “$100,000 Pyramid” and “Match Game” and CBS’ “Big Brother”).
