Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dark Necessities,” which reached #1 on Mediabase’s active rock airplay chart last week, retains its throne this week.

The lead “The Getaway” single received ~2,009 spins during the July 10-16 tracking period. While that trails last week’s mark by 23 spins, it keeps “Dark Necessities” atop the chart.

Shinedown’s “Asking For It” is stationary at #3 with ~1,874 spins (-22). Chevelle’s “Joyride” and Ghost’s “From The Pinnacle To The Spit” are also positioned as they were last week. The former is #4 with ~1,862 weekly spins (+106), while the latter is #5 courtesy its ~1,339 plays (-32).
