Jason Aldean’s “Summertime” Debuts At #40 On MB Country Radio Chart; Tim McGraw Also Enters

Jason Aldean [CBS]

While it did not arrive until late in the tracking week, Jason Aldean’s “A Little More Summertime” received promotional first day airplay.

The strength of that airplay allows the “Lights Come On” follow-up to take #40 on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

“Summertime” takes #40 thanks to the 3,630 chart points it amassed during the July 10-16 tracking week**. Aldean’s single received 1,108 spins within that window.

“A Little More Summertime” is one of two songs to debut on the 50-song Mediabase country chart. Tim McGraw’s “How I’ll Always Be,” the other, enters at #49.

Up nineteen places from last week’s position, “How I’ll Always Be” received 2,203 weekly chart points (+402). It also garnered 660 weekly spins (+133).

**Editor’s Note: Unlike the other genre charts, the Mediabase country chart ranks songs based on a proprietary points system rather than raw airplay. Spins receive point values based on the size of the market in which they were received.
