While the certification is not yet listed on the RIAA’s official website, Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For” has apparently received a platinum distinction in the United States.
The news comes courtesy Columbia Records, which says the single has been “certified platinum” in its latest promotional newsletter.
A platinum certification confirms a US unit total of 1 million. Under the RIAA’s digital singles program, one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
“TIWYCF” has sold roughly 750K downloads in the United States.
