Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” Reaches 6X Platinum In United States

When it comes to RIAA certifications, June was a good month for Bruno Mars.

June 16 brought news that his albums “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” and “Unorthodox Jukebox” respectively reached 5x and 4x platinum status in the United States.

June 28 brought confirmation that his smash “When I Was Your Man” became a 6x platinum digital single.

The award confirms a US unit total of at least 6 million; one unit is equal to either 1 paid download or 150 streams.

In moving from 4x platinum to 6x platinum, “When I Was Your Man” surpasses “Locked Out Of Heaven,” “Just The Way You Are” and “Grenade” to become Mars’ most certified solo/lead single.
