Ratings: “Game Of Thrones” Soars To Series High For Season Finale

On a live+same-day basis, the season finale of HBO’s “Game Of Thrones” was the series’ highest rated and most watched episode yet.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 4.35 adults 18-49 rating and 8.89 million total viewers. Up from the 3.85 rating and 7.66 million total viewer mark, the figures rank as highs for the series.

The fifth season finale previously ranked as the series’ best performer in total viewership. The fifth season premiere held the high in adults 18-49.

HBO’s other Sunday programming included “Silicon Valley” (1.05, 2.04 million), “Veep” (0.50, 1.15 million) and “Last Week Tonight” (0.68, 1.53 million).
