Ratings: HBO’s “Any Given Wednesday” Premieres Softly

Ben Affleck on Any Given Wednesday [HBO]

Its Ben Affleck interview has gone viral, but the actual “Any Given Wednesday” premiere generated modest live+same-day ratings for HBO.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s edition of the Bill Simmons-hosted series drew a mere 0.12 adults 18-49 rating and 0.26 million live+same-day viewers.

Expectations were not enormous for the series — a mid-week sports-related talk show is not going to draw “Game Of Thrones” numbers — but these numbers still seem rather light for a heavily hyped premiere.

It will be interesting to see if buzz over the aforementioned Ben Affleck interview results in a live+same-day ratings improvement for the next “Any Given Wednesday.”
