Bastille, X Ambassadors, 888 Reach Top 40 at Alternative Radio

Despite not launching until late in the June 12-18 tracking week, Bastille’s new “Good Grief” generated enough airplay to earn a Top 40 position on this week’s Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

X Ambassadors’ “Low Life” and 888’s “Critical Mistakes” also earn Top 40 positions.

Spun 306 times within the confines of the official tracking week, “Good Grief” debuts at #33 on Mediabase’s chart. Bottlenecked by virtue of its late arrival, “Good Grief” did, however, benefit from an opening day airplay promotion across the iHeartMedia network of stations.

“Low Life” directly follows at #34. Up eight places from last week’s position, the song received 292 spins during the official tracking week (+36).

“Critical Mistakes” enters the Top 40 at #38. The song, which was #47 last week, garnered 262 spins this week (+39).

While it is not new to the Top 40, Wild Belle’s “Throw Down Your Guns” re-enters that region of the chart this week. The song, which rises four places from last week’s position, was played 256 times during the official tracking week (+5).
