The 1975’s “The Sound,” which enters the Top 50 at pop radio, nearly does the same at the hot adult contemporary format.

Played 145 times during the June 12-18 tracking week, “The Sound” ranks as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #51 song. It was #65 last week.

“The Sound,” which received a campaign at the alternative format (where it reached the Top 20) earlier this year, impacted hot adult contemporary and pop radio this past week.

A Great Big World’s “Won’t Stop Running” also earns a Top 60 position this week. Up fourteen places, AGBW’s new single ranks as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #53 song. It received 133 weekly spins.
