When it came to another season of the critically acclaimed “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” HBO sources have long maintained that the ball was in creator and star Larry David’s court.

Tuesday, the network announced that David decided to move forward with a ninth season of the show.

“We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of CURB and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” said HBO’s Casey Bloys.

David added, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”

The eighth season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” ran in 2011.

— On the same day that HBO confirmed a ninth season of “Curb,” TV Land ordered a fourth season of “Younger.”

The fourth season renewal order comes in advance of the third season premiere, which is set for September 28.
