The Lumineers’ “Ophelia” Reaches #1 At Alternative Radio

For the first time since 2012, The Lumineers occupy the top spot on the Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

The act earns #1 with “Ophelia,” which received a format-leading ~2,886 spins during the May 22-28 tracking week (+126). The song is up two places from last week’s position.

The Lumineers last ruled the chart with breakthrough single “Ho Hey.”

“Ophelia” seizes the alternative radio crown from The Strumbellas’ “Spirits,” which slips to #3 after three weeks at #1. It received ~2,679 weekly spins (-278).

twenty one pilots’ “Ride” remains in the runner-up spot courtesy a weekly spin count of ~2,713 (-190), while Blink-182’s “Bored To Death” and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dark Necessities” are respectively stationary at #4 and #5. The former was played ~2,613 times this week (+170), and the latter garnered ~2,430 spins (+32).
