Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” Certified Double Platinum In The US

Last month, Rihanna’s 2016 album “ANTI” earned a double platinum certification from the RIAA.

Last week, Rihanna’s 2012 album “Unapologetic” earned the same distinction.

The RIAA has formally certified “Unapologetic” as 2x platinum, thus confirming a US unit total of at least 2 million. One unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

“Unapologetic” is the superstar’s third double platinum album, following in the footsteps of the aforementioned “ANTI” and her 2007 release “Good Girl Gone Bad.”
