“Faking It” Cancelled; Tuesday’s Episode Will Be Series Finale

MTV will not be moving forward with a fourth season of “Faking It.” The network officially cancelled the series this week.

The move was purely due to numbers. While never a particularly strong ratings performer, the series performed well enough in its first season-and-a-half — particularly in the network’s core 12-34 demographic — to warrant a third.

The back half of the second season and the current third season have not performed well enough to warrant a fourth, and MTV decided the time was right to swing the ax.

This coming Tuesday’s (May 17) season finale will now be a series finale.
