Earlier this year, “Youth” became the first Troye Sivan single to receive meaningful attention at US radio.

This week, it became the first Troye Sivan single to earn a certification from the RIAA.

On May 9, “Youth” formally attained gold status in the United States. The gold certification confirms a US unit total of at least 500,000, with one unit being equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Youth” appears on Sivan’s debut album “Blue Neighbourhood.” It peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.
