Despite not arriving until late in the May 1-7 tracking week, the lead single from Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “The Getaway” claims prominent positions on this week’s Mediabase active rock and alternative airplay charts.

Spun ~466 times within the official tracking period, RHCP’s “Dark Necessities” takes #20 on this week’s Mediabase active rock chart.

The song concurrently debuts at #21 on the alternative listing. It received 768 weekly spins at that format.

While handicapped by virtue of its late-week arrival, “Dark Necessities” was aided by promotional first day airplay at both formats.

“The Getaway” arrives on June 17.
