Prince Songs Rise On Hot 100, “Raspberry Beret,” “I Would Die 4 U” Re-Enter

Following a full week of posthumous sales activity, the six Prince songs that appeared on last week’s Billboard Hot 100 rise on this week’s edition.

An additional two songs re-enter on this week’s listing.

“Purple Rain” claims the highest position. The song rises thirteen places to #4 on this week’s chart.

“When Doves Cry” enjoys a twelve-place lift to #8, while “Little Red Corvette” (#20, +9), “Kiss” (#23, +5) and “Let’s Go Crazy” (#25, +14) all move into the Top 25.

“1999” rises fourteen places to #27. “Raspberry Beret” and “I Would Die 4 U” respectively re-enter at #33 and #39.
