Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” Enters Top 60 at Hot Adult Contemporary Radio

Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence,” which formally goes for pop radio adds on May 3, is gaining traction at another mainstream format.

Spun 126 times during the April 17-23 tracking week, the Simon and Garfunkel cover ranks as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #57 song.

It held the #68 position last week.

“The Sound Of Silence” is crossing over to mainstream formats after spending seven weeks atop Mediabase’s active rock airplay chart (it is down to #2 this week).

It has also been rising at the alternative radio format, where it bullets at #21 this week.
