Long eyed as the second mainstream single from Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams,” the band’s “Hymn For The Weekend (featuring Beyonce)” finally has a pop radio impact date.

Atlantic Records announced that the song will go for pop adds on Tuesday, April 26. It is presently the only major release scheduled to impact the pop format that day.

The “Hymn For The Weekend” announcement comes as the world eagerly anticipates Beyonce’s HBO special — and the new music many expect will come with it. Entitled “Lemonade” and billed as a “world premiere event,” the special will air at 9PM ET on Saturday, April 23.

As for Coldplay, “Hymn For The Weekend” will serve as a follow-up to “Adventure Of A Lifetime.” The song, which hit #1 at alternative radio and reached the Top 10 at hot adult contemporary, peaked just inside the Top 40 at pop.
