ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” Reaches #3 at US Pop Radio, Surpasses One Direction’s Peak

Played ~15,299 times during the April 10-16 tracking week (+1,060), ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” rises to #3 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

In doing so, it surpasses the peak position achieved by ZAYN’s former group One Direction.

One Direction had never gone higher than the #4 position it achieved with two singles: breakthrough hit “What Makes You Beautiful” and standout “Midnight Memories” song “Story Of My Life.”

“PILLOWTALK” is concurrently up to #11 on this week’s Mediabase rhythmic chart and inside the Top 20 at hot adult contemporary.

The rhythmic position easily exceeds any mark achieved by One Direction, which did not notably target that format.

The group, on the other hand, had several big hits at hot adult contemporary radio, including a chart-topper in “Story Of My Life.”
