Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” Re-Enters Hot AC Radio’s Top 60

As speculation heightens regarding the identity of the next official single from Adele’s “25,” hot adult contemporary radio programmers are continuing to demonstrate support for “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).”

The song, which was up to #63 last week, is the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #58 song this week.

It received 130 spins from across six stations during the official tracking week; three represent new supporters.

This, interestingly, is not the song’s first appearance inside the Top 60. The song previously entered the Top 60 in conjunction with airplay attained during the December 27-January 2 tracking week. There was promotional impetus behind its airplay at the time; it was simply benefiting from Hot AC radio’s interest in the “25” album.

Its current Top 60 position, consequently, should not be taken as confirmation that it is the new official single. The growing support should, however, be taken as confirmation that programmers are increasingly interested in playing the song.
