Skrillex, Diplo & Justin Bieber’s “Where Are U Now” Certified 3x Platinum

The Grammy-winning single that played a pivotal role in launching Justin Bieber’s comeback is now triple platinum in the United States.

The RIAA confirms that Skrillex & Diplo’s “Where Are U Now (with Justin Bieber)” earned the certification on March 28, 2016. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, a triple platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 3 million.

One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

While the official track credits Justin Bieber as a performer and songwriter, it is worth noting that RIAA’s website only lists Skrillex & Diplo in conjunction with the certification.

— “Where Are U Now” was one of three Skrillex records to reach a new certification threshold in late March. His “Bangarang” concurrently went double platinum, while his “Kyoto” earned a platinum honor.
