Special Look: Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt Rehearse For ACM Awards Performances

At the 2016 Grammy Awards, Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt performed collaboratively.

At Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, the two country superstars will perform separately.

In advance of Sunday’s big show, Underwood and Hunt attended rehearsals to perfect their planned performances.

The staging for Underwood’s performance suggests a big, theatrical showcase befitting her new single “Church Bells.” Hunt, on other hand, will go in a more intimate, low-key direction — rehearsal photos reveal the “Make You Miss Me” singer seated at a piano.

The 51st Annual ACM Awards broadcast airs at 8PM ET on April 3. In advance of the show, CBS shared first look rehearsal photos:
