Meghan Trainor, Zara Larsson & MNEK, Ariana Grande Headed For Top 40 at Rhythmic Radio

Mediabase’s rhythmic radio airplay chart is expected to welcome Meghan Trainor’s “NO,” Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You,” and Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman” to its Top 40 this week.

“NO” received 519 rhythmic spins during the first five days of the March 13-19 tracking week. Up 137.0% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots Trainor’s new single at #37 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Given its current position and the fact that it is posting rapid airplay gains, Trainor’s song will have “NO” issue remaining in the Top 40 through the close of tracking.

“Never Forget You,” which received 362 spins during the first five days of the tracking week (+31.2%), and “Dangerous Woman,” which received 325 (gain N/A; it had not received airplay at this point last week), are respectively #40 and #41 on the building chart.

While only one holds a Top 40 slot on the building chart, both should ultimately enter that territory on the official weekly listing. Tory Lanez’ building #13 “Say It” and Justin Bieber’s building #19 “Sorry” are both set to be removed as recurrents this week. As a result, all songs below their positions will rise by two places on the final edition of the chart.

A song, therefore, need only be #42 on Sunday morning’s building chart to claim a Top 40 position on Sunday evening’s official one. There is no reason to believe either song will slip below #42.
