Meghan Trainor’s “NO” Headed For Top 15 at Pop, Hot AC Radio

Now in its third week on the associated Mediabase airplay charts, the lead single from Meghan Trainor’s “Thank You” is headed for the Top 15 at both pop and hot adult contemporary radio.

Trainor’s “NO” received 3,055 spins during the first three days of the March 13-19 tracking week. Up 65.5% from the count at this point last week, the tally positions “NO” at #14 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Absent an imminent threat from below — let alone two such threats — “NO” should have no trouble retaining its Top 15 position through the close of tracking.

“NO” should, in fact, be able to get to #12 by the time the chart goes final. It is expected to soon overtake Robin Schulz’ “Sugar (featuring Francesco Yates),” which is currently #13 on the building chart.

Trainor’s song may also leapfrog Justin Bieber’s building #12 “Sorry,” but even if it fails to do so, it will move up anyway. Now in its twenty second week on the chart, “Sorry” is slated to be removed as a recurrent.

— “NO” is also presently #14 on Mediabase’s building Hot AC chart. It received 1,084 spins in the first three days of the tracking week, which bests last week’s mark by 69.9%.

“NO” faces no imminent threats from below at Hot AC. Given its current rate of acceleration, it may even move higher than #14.
