“Gotham” Renewed For Season 3; “We Couldn’t Be More Proud,” Says FOX

FOX’s Monday drama “Gotham” has predictably earned a third season renewal.

“It takes a very special team to tell the tales of GOTHAM. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama,” said FOX’s David Madden. “This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show.”

While not the strong live+same-day ratings performer it was upon arrival in the fall of 2014, “Gotham” continues to draw a respectable live audience.

It also fares well with DVR and multi-platform viewers; FOX notes that “Gotham” episodes have been reaching an average of 9 million viewers with data from all platforms included.

The second season of “Gotham” continues with this coming Monday’s episode. Entitled “Wrath of the Villains: Mad Grey Dawn,” the installment marks the beginning of Paul Reubens’ guest arc.
