Kenan Thompson Joins “Maya And Marty,” Show Gets May 31 Premiere Date

NBC has provided more details on its new variety series “Maya And Marty In Manhattan,” which stars Maya Rudolph and Martin Short and premieres this May.

Per a network press release, “SNL”‘s Kenan Thompson will also star on the hourlong live variety show will “feature sketches that spoof current events, celebrities and topical trends, as well as musical performances.”

“With their cumulative expertise and experience in live comedy, we couldn’t ask for a better trio to deliver what we know will be a fantastic show,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “Their respective accomplishments on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and beyond are extraordinary.”

The show will premiere at 10PM on May 31, leading out of the “America’s Got Talent” season premiere.
