Zendaya Reportedly Cast In Upcoming “Spider-Man” Reboot

Zendaya [FOX]

Multiple industry trades — including Deadline and The Wrap — are reporting that Zendaya has been cast in the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot.

Describing the role as a key part of the ensemble, the Deadline story says Zendaya will be playing a character named Michelle.

Additional details were not available at press time, but comic fans are naturally speculating that the character may be based on Michele Gonzales from the comic. The character first appeared in a May 2009 edition of “Amazing Spider-Man” and later became Peter Parker’s roommate and potential love interest.

Tom Holland is set to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the reboot.
