Kendrick Lamar’s “untitled unmastered” Pacing For 140K+ US Sales; “ColleGrove” Set For 35-45K

Kendrick Lamar’s surprise release “untitled unmastered” should cruise to victory on the US album sales chart.

Based on early sales data, Hits Daily Double expects “untitled unmastered” to sell 140-150,000 US copies during its first week of release. The inclusion of Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) should result in a first-week consumption total of 175-185,000.

The numbers will allow “untitled unmastered” to debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales and 200 charts, respectively.

Next among new releases (but not necessarily next among overall albums) will be 2 Chainz’ “ColleGrove.” The collaboration with Lil Wayne should sell 35-45,000 pure US copies and drive a total of 55-65,000 consumption units during the March 4-10 tracking week.

Other notable new releases include Ninja Sex Party’s “Under The Covers” (Hits projects 24-27,000), Ray LaMontagne’s “Ouroboros” (~23-26,000 in sales, 25-28,000 in total consumption), Granger Smith’s “Remington” (~23-26,000 in sales, 25-28,000 in total consumption), and Newsboys’ “Love Riot” (~17-19,000 in sales, 18-20,000 in total consumption).
