Ratings: “Billions,” “Shameless” Improve This Week

Neither “Billions” nor “Shameless” aired in ideal circumstances Sunday. Both were airing on Valentine’s Day. The latter was positioned against “The Walking Dead.”

The challenges were not, however, as daunting as that imposed by last week’s Super Bowl. The Showtime series, consequently, enjoyed week-over-week ratings gains.

“Billions,” which last week drew a 0.25 adults 18-49 rating and reached 851,000 total viewers, improved to a 0.33 and 1.010 million this week.

Lead-in “Shameless,” meanwhile, drew a 0.60 rating and 1.590 million viewers in the 9PM hour. Last week’s episode could only manage a 0.47 and 1.157 million against CBS’ Super Bowl coverage.
