Kendrick Lamar Wins Three Early Grammys In Rap Category

Kendrick Lamar’s night is off to a great start. The acclaimed artist won three early Grammy awards in the rap category.

Lamar won Best Rap Performance for his work on “Alright,” which also earned the trophy for Best Rap Song.

He, Bilal, Anna Wise & Thundercat, meanwhile, won for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

While the award itself goes to the director and producer, Kendrick Lamar was notably involved in the Best Music Video — “Bad Blood,” his collaboration with Taylor Swift.

The aforementioned awards were issued at the official Grammys pre-show. Lamar will also compete for Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year on the main show.
