Hot 100: DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” Enters Top 15; Charlie Puth Top 20

DNCE’s debut single “Cake By The Ocean” is now one of the fifteen hottest songs in America.

The single rises four places to #14 on this week’s edition of the Billboard Hot 100, which ranks songs based on combined activity from sales, streaming, and airplay.

The Hot 100 comes in conjunction with other big developments for the song. On the airplay front, it officially reaches the Top 10 at pop radio. On the sales front, it officially crosses the 500,000 US sales mark.

— While “Cake By The Ocean” enters the Top 15, Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away” jumps into the Top 20. The single, which appears on his newly released “Nine Track Mind,” jumps five places to #17.

“Call” is Puth’s highest-charting release as a lead artist; he went to #1 as a featured vocalist on Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.”
